I have written a small blog post about how to Bypass CGNAT, and have also mentioned why you should not use Cloudflare if you are hosting for privacy.

Handbrake is great. But I would also recommend using Kdenlive. It is a video editor but if you just open your video in it and just export the project, you will get some good output format options.
I am assuming your system is updated. What is the output of xrandr
?
Also, have you tried logging in to an Xorg session, and then changing the refresh rate?
6th gen’s integrated GPU cannot decode HEVC.
My optiplex with i5-6500TE can transcode 4K videos easily if the codec is AVC. HEVC is different story though. Any CPU newer than 10th generation would be more than enough for your needs, I’d say.
Not sure. Will have to try it out.
GIMP is very different, but Krita is quite similar. Pretty sure you won’t miss much. However, I am not an advanced user, so, I cannot say for certain. Also, some shortcuts are different. But do try Krita. It is awesome.
I was using Protonmail, and their other services, and was a paying customer for over a year. But I stopped because of their poor Linux support, and not being able to receive email notifications on my de-googled phone. I made a shift to mailbox.org and am liking it. Yes, I have to manage my own PGP keys, but the experience is much better, in my opinion. Their storage even supports WebDAV. I can encrypt the whole inbox and the files stored in their drive with my own key.
But I miss their VPN service, which was good, but still, poor Linux support is what I hated the most.
All ports are forwarded. If your SMTP is running on, say, port 993, on your local machine, your-VPS-ip:993
will be your SMTP.
Converting, editing and compressing images is very easy using gThumb. It will provide you with basic editing tools like, colour correction, special effects, cropping etc., and using the save image as option will provide you with conversion and compression options.
The Eye of GNOME is another great tool for converting and compressing images using the save as option.
For PDF, I use GIMP. It may be overkill for kost users, but it is a pretty useful tool for basoc editing as well, like adding text overlay, and other options covered in gThumb.
Get out of here, redditor.
Wow! That is great to know! Thanks for giving it a try!
This is the first app I’ve ever made, so, I don’t know what exactly the reason is for that. However, I think this is because I made it with Flutter instead of something lower lever like Java.
I started with YouTube (via Invidious), and then it was just hunting for “how do I add this thing in Flutter” on search engines and forums.
Thank you for these suggestions! I’ll be working on sync or import/export, right after I fix the UI. Making the items editable is another thing I need to add.
All the best! 🍀
That is correct, but I’ll need either a Macintosh machine, or a VM to compile the app. Then, I’ll have to pay a fee to Apple to publish this on their App Store. I haven’t even made a .deb package, as of now, because I use Fedora and am too lazy to spin up a VM.
But if I get to implement everything I have in mind, for this app, I’ll surely release it on every platform possible.
I am not sure what you mean.
The issue is, when using Cloudflare, they will terminate your TLS, then encrypt the data again with their own certificate, which is send to the visitor. When visitor interacts, their data is decrypted on Cloudflare’s servers, which they encrypt again eith our original certificate and send it back to us.
Sure, hackers or sniffers might not be able to look at the sensitive data, but Cloudflare can. But do they, or do they not, is upto you, if you trust them or not.
I recommend using WebM container with VP9 codec instead of GIF if you are exporting it for web. It even supports alpha.
