Recent iterations of Windows have been easy to install, esp. when using an entire drive. I (almost) never had issues.
Installed it. Liking it. Indeed beautifully designed.
There’s a lot going on and much data to be seen. Nice! Not airways easy to quickly see what I am looking for, but that might be just me not being used to it. Has a bit to catch up to meet the features of Breezy Weather, but I don’t expect that from a new so and you have SO much potential here!
Am I missing the dew point or is that not implemented yet?
The animations might be a tad slow, though beautiful to look at.
Can’t say much more. Will use Overmorrow (fantastic name!) for sure to test it more and see where it goes.
Thank you. Awesome job!
A backup and restore utility which allows me to export/restore system settings and installed apps. This would make a reinstalll much less time consuming and allow installs of the same configuration on other computers.
Sure. But what if Docker is not available on a machine? What if the import should happen on a Linux machine coming from Windows? What if I want to sync two installations on different OSs?
I know it’s all doable, but not easy, let alone foolproof. It’s so easy to install, but genuinely not easy to keep safe without tech knowledge.
This has been discussed before and you might be right.
Python Backup Script (Good luck if you’re not a developer)
… and so forth. No good answers so far.
As always, please ensure you stop your Jellyfin server and take a full backup before upgrading!
Now, if only there was a simple, built-in way to backup/export and restore/import all settings and other data, so that all platforms could do this easily, without having to search the internet for which folders to back up…
FYI, this is the best we have atm (which is pretty terrible). Please correct me if there is a better way:
Yeah, everytime I see it, I feel sorry for it.
And the joke is actually good… because it’s the truth.
Didn’t know about that one. Why, there’s no objection in adding more to the collection right here. 😊
Dolibarr is probably more than most need.
Symfony, Laravel & other PHP based frameworks are going strong. PHP isn’t going away anytime soon.
Logseq has an Android app. Zettlr doesn’t.
Edit: I tested Logseq. It has the basic functionality down, so for many it might be great. For me, though, it doesn’t come close to what is possible with the plugins of Obsidian. So for now I’ll stick with Obsidian.
Without knowing what you play, how many games would you say are as easy to install as under Windows and how many needed some additional encouragement?
Read again, friend. That’s exactly why I asked the question.
Yes? My question refers to exactly that.
Bookmarked, you superstar! 🌟
Well,
…but why!?
most apps do infinite scolling
So many Reddit posts are removed and useless. And often these posts used to be the main answer. I don’t bother much with Redditt anymore. It’s not the knowledgebase it used to be. Will likely never be again.
Some questions I “reask” here on Lemmy and get decent replies. Thus building a new knowledgebase.
That’s an awesome read. Thank you. Bookmark set. You made my afternoon.
This… this… this is… GENIUS.
Utter madness, sure. Genius nonetheless.
Thank you. I feel like I’ve found a new way to respect developers that I hadn’t considered before.
