I think the phrasing isn’t the best. I think he needs an “is what” before “hurts children” in the first paragraph.

Almost 7,500 tabs…in 2 years? That’s an incredibly short period of time, but too many tabs.
That just seems like an unwillingness to organize or close tabs at all, rather than real sentimental value.
At that point, just back up your browser history every night (of course, after manually removing the sites you don’t want there! Lol)
The worst is when they can’t even be uninstalled.
Sounds like a good idea to me.
I look up reviews before buying a product. If a few dozen people think something is crap, why should it pop up in my feed? I’m not buying every product just so I can form my own opinions on all of them.
My threshold is -10, so I wouldn’t have even written this reply if that feature existed!
Unless I felt like manually uncollapsing your comment, lol
Thank you for that! I’ve gotten into the habit of unplugging both cables (power + data) when I’m done with it, which is probably better anyways…but at least now I don’t have to fret if I forget one.
(Always safely ejecting, of course!)
Thanks!
Who’s mom
OP is [a] mom, of course!
I do think you need that “a” after “who’s”, though.
Thank you for the reassurance. I guess I’ll just either let it be noisy or leave it fully unplugged when not in use.
First world problems… having to choose between barely audible noise, or having to plug TWO things in to access my 14TB, lmao
What’s a bridge rectifier?
The power supply is “universal” (comes with different attachments for different regions’ outlets), so I could see it doing something weird like that.
But it only happens when it’s plugged into the outlet, but the HDD is NOT plugged into the computer.
Could it be expecting some extra power from the PC or something?
Haven’t been able to record it yet, but the sound only happens when the power supply is plugged into the HDD and the outlet (not one or the other), and the HDD is NOT plugged into the computer.
Plugging the HDD into the computer stops the sound. I was unplugging it from the PC to keep it offline when I didn’t need it. (After safely ejecting and waiting etc. of course)
I guess I’ll just need to unplug the power when I’m not using it, too.
It’s weird – the sound happens when the power supply is plugged into the outlet and the HDD, but it turns off when the HDD is plugged into the PC.
I could look for a blinking LED, but it really does sound like a noise maker rather than something electrical. But I’m not an expert.
Yeah, interesting. I’ll see if I can record it tomorrow!
Will do, thanks. Did lots of thorough checks when I got it, so I didn’t expect there to be any issues now.
Really? I never paid for it. I guess it’s missing features unless you pay?
I used it for a good 2 years before I got a separate webcam
DroidCam does this
Y’know… that seems reasonable. I’d place my bet that there’d be something good enough in only a few years. (Text only, I’d bet)
Here is a summary of the most important information from that meeting. Since there were two major topics, I’ve separated them into two paragraphs.
The rest of the information was deemed irrelevant to you and your position.
Can we just get it to attend meetings for us?
It does take a bit longer to load, especially on the original post page when swiping up/down quickly.
