As someone who’s (re) vanced stopped working today, one thing about using my browser instead was the inability to switch to a different app or lock my screen without pausing.

There are also (somewhat hidden) “hard modes” where the only indicator that you’re in a different mode is that the badge number next to the uBlock icon changes color.
You can have it block all third party scripts by default for every website, or even go all out and basically use it like noscript. Pretty much breaks every individual website though but you can choose individually what to let through and save it based on domain (I believe) so you really only need to do it once.

I just switched to Linux for the first time last year, and I’ve been using EndeavourOS, which I’ve been told is like Arch with training wheels, and my experience has been fantastic. In case anyone wants a slightly easier way to peek at Arch.
You don’t think there could be some kind of selection bias built in? That maybe the kind of people that go through the effort to install an extension like that may tend to vote a certain way on certain videos? What makes you think that the sample would be representative of the collective whole of YouTube users in any way whatsoever?
Why do people use the return dislikes extensions? It’s not going to be accurate in any way since YouTube no longer makes that data available. So whatever source they’re using, its bullshit.

Lol no it’s not. Refusing to be honest with yourself and admitting that you were wrong about something after learning more about the thing, is a giant red flag.
You may have turned on a setting in Firefox that is meant to obscure your browser fingerprint. For me, it seems to force more captchas for me.
I kept the feature on though, because when I signed into Google and got the notification of a new sign-in on my phone, it thought my OS was Windows NT (it’s Linux) so it seems to at least kind of work.
I forget what the setting was off the top of my head (in about.config I think), but could look into it if anyone is curious.
I literally had the opposite experience lol. Just got NewPipe and it seems to work fine.
