Decluttering a mobile UI has nothing to do with funding issues. They likely have analytics showing how often these are used and you all are probably a very small minority of users. Write yourselves a simple extension to fix the issue.

Good news, you don’t need an app for audiobookshelf. If the iOS devs are trying to leach money from you, you can just use the web client to stream your books. The only downside is I don’t think you’ll be able to download files for offline use.

If you’re going to run Home Assistant OS you’d be able to run anything that can run in docker. Some things are available to install directly inside the Home Assistant apps system, otherwise you can install portainer and run any docker capable software.
