Ah, “cursive”, where half of the letters aren’t actually cursive, and a quarter of the rest actually resemble the actual letter it’s supposed to be.
I hate reading my handwriting.
I have to comment my code because otherwise I have no idea wth I was writing 6mo ago.
Like, I recently had to update a script I wrote 2 years ago and had thought 'this is self explanatory, I don’t need to comment it’s only to have me come back and have to walk the code to figure out I forgot to include an edge case that hadn’t occurred yet …
Where are you located? I’m still seeing the correct name and I’m in the USA
Deepseek works reasonably well, even at cpu only in ollama. I ran the 7b and 1.5b models and it wasn’t awful. 7b slowed down as the convo went on, but the 1.5b model felt pretty passable while I was playing with it
Typically the top 3 biggest PITA common issues was GPU, WiFi and trackpad, in that order. Every. Time.
Nvidia drivers are literally the reason I keep going back to windows on my gaming rig. Any time I get a Linux install working the way I like it, within 6-10 months the graphics would shit the bed and I’d fight with it until I gave up and went back just to have a working is with minimal after work IT bullshit.
All my servers are Linux tho. I’ll probably try again later in the year when 10 goes EOS

Oh, and inconsistent back behavior. When opening images, sometimes swiping for back closes the image and returns me to the post list, and sometimes it backs me out of the post list and I can’t get back to the listing I had been looking through without reloading.
Interesting. Guessing that probably means I need to find a new trick when I go to work on newer servers. Damned microsoft…
Try
Control printers

The settings app is the new control panel. There’s just also the legacy control panel that they’ve been trying to remove for years. It’s such a shit show that I’ve memorized the run string for the applets I have to use frequently, because it’s a fucking nightmare trying to remember where they moved this in which version of the os.
I really appreciated him saying ‘I don’t want yes men, I need people to call me on my bullshit, but I’m calling you out on yours’.
I read through the next few replies, and it seems like the anti-rust maintainer just has an axe to grind and can’t stand people working in a language they don’t understand.
