When stores started marking up the “regular” price to hit bigger percentages is about when I started price tracking things I knew I’d buy later down the road. Looking at you, Best Buy!

I periodically keep tabs on new HDD prices in my area. Black Friday hasn’t had the same deep discounts it once did.

My point is that the blueprint of the original app is there whether or not it was rebuilt from scratch. The developer may have rewritten the app themselves, but at the end of the day we’re essentially using Apollo for Lemmy hence the reference.

I suppose it depends on your perspective of the ship of Theseus.

Voyager might be maintained by a single person, but let’s not fool ourselves who created it. Voyager is a direct clone of Christian Selig’s Apollo for Reddit.

I love Voyager as much as the next Lemming, but I’ll be damned if credit isn’t given where credit is due.

I’ve shrugged off a couple other apps because LunaSea was so good. Gonna miss it when it finally breaks.

A user tag is like a little note you attach to a user’s profile.

If you’re at all familiar with RES for Reddit, it works the same way except I don’t believe it keeps a history of why the tag was added as is the case with RES.

To enable it go to your Settings > User Tags > Enable User Tags. From there you can also track how many up and downvotes you’ve given someone. One item of note, however, is that the tags don’t sync across devices, so if you use Voyager on both iPhone and iPad the recorded information won’t match.

Tagging is definitely one of my favourite RES features. Would absolutely love to get this for Voyager.
