Probably, but not everyone is using home assistant…? I get that open source and self hosting is cool and all, but like news about things that aren’t open source/self hosted is still relevant news to a lot of folks
Sorry, I didn’t mean to make it seem irrelevant. I can see how it came across that way though. I was mostly trying to point out that these features aren’t exclusive to Google Home, or even Home Assistant, because they’re Android features when it comes down to it.
Ahhh, okay. And you’re all good, it just feels like open source folks here sometimes forget this can be a bit of an echo chamber and that they shouldn’t ostracize folks who aren’t exclusively using FOSS stuff (I say, as a big open source nerd)
