Is that new? I’ve definitely made multiple accounts and I only have one number.
I’d say private, not unlisted.
It was an April’s fool day joke. I think they had it up for about a month or so. Nothing explicit was posted.
Also, I don’t know why he felt the need to put ‘sell’ in quotes, as if auctioning isn’t a form of selling. Plus GN mentioned it was auctioned, many times.

It was not obvious to me at first because some on demand services require a cable TV account to access. That’s what I thought they initially meant.
Wow so when people admit they were mistaken you just kick em while they are down then? Must be nice to have never misread anything in your life.
Oh come on you know what he meant
Actually I don’t think I did.
So he was able to stream it legally, he just wasn’t happy with the requirements for doing so.
Edited to add, I think I’ve misunderstood the original poster. I thought they were saying they could stream it if they had cable. Now I’m not sure that’s what they meant.
For those saying I was being pedantic, I don’t think it’s pedantic to refute that someone said they can’t do a thing when they can. But again, I think I misunderstood.

Nah man ignoring a cancer is not going ty lead to a very good prognosis.
It’s not overblown. It’s sending a message to the admins of that instance.
Blocking the community itself is the smallest Band-Aid in the world. The kinds of users who join that instance for that community aren’t going to be quarantined to just that community.
I support defederatiom personally because it sends a stronger message from the community. Blocking the community is “I don’t want to see this.” Defederating is “we don’t want to see this.”
Yeah people get mad at click bait but it’s called that for a reason, it works. Probably an unpopular opinion in this thread but I don’t find LTT’s too bad.
This is why I said questionable morality of it. I have my own opinions.
Generally speaking I think people want to interact with other human beings, not bots.
Then there’s the questionable morality of it. Companies can profit off bots scraping our info.
It doesn’t add a layer of security, it adds a layer of anonymity.
