  • Lead of a small team of scripters here. The “Why. Not What” is defo a good way of encouraging cleaner code.

    Had to request changes recently on a PR like this, big function with comments telling me what it was doing. When they resubmitted for review they had broken it down into smaller functions with good variable/function naming. following what was going on was much easier












  • You wont know for sure until you try. the main sticking point for gaming on linux is anti-cheat, so if you play a lot of games with that then you may run into some trouble. otherwise ProtonDB is your friend. Most games these days are pretty easy to get up and running.

    A lot of AI tools are developed on linux anyway so you shouldn’t encounter too many problems there.

    Browsers are no problem at all. I recommend Firefox

    I used cinnamon/debian for a long time on my desktop and gnome/ubuntu on my laptop. in the last couple years i switched to KDE plasma/manjaro on desktop and gnome/manjaro on laptop

    its nice, for the most part and gives me access to the aur

    I have a general use server running ubuntu server atm, i’m considering completely redoing that and havent decided on the distro i will use yet. I want to use kubernetes to sandbox its various uses apart and in a redeployable way so whatever works for that
